Welcome to FBC West Tawakoni as a church we are committed to serving our Lord Jesus Christ by fulfilling the "Great Commission" of Matthew 23 by making disciples and teaching them to observe the teaching of God's Holy Word. Our mission is the let the light of Jesus shine in southern Hunt County. Jesus said in Matt 5:14 "You are the light of the world. We are striving to let the light of Jesus shine in the hearts of all who those who will respond to the Gospel message.
Searching for a church that loves people with a Christ-like love that has a desire to share the message of the Gospel in a relevant way, then this is the place for you and your family. The Bible
We believe the Bible to be the inspired, infallible, inerrant Word of God,. 2 Tim 3:15-17 and how from infancy you have known the holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus. 16 All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, 17 so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work NIV

The word “disciple” comes from the Greek word that means, “to learn.” Discipleship has two major components first there must be a teacher and secondly, a disciple someone who was willing to dedicate their life to learning about the one who they followed. By looking at Jesus’ ministry, we see how His relationship with His disciples transcended the normal pupil-teacher relationship. Jesus poured Himself into those who would multiply – teaching His teaching to others. He devoted spending time with them and sent them out to proclaim the gospel and do good works. Jesus prepared 12 men to be able to carry on His ministry after He has ascended back to His Father. He equipped the 12 so that they could make other disciples in that way the message of the Gospel spread throughout the world.
